Please pray for Katy Stange, my sister, who is having brain surgery on Thursday 7/15 for the two tumors. She will recover a month, before she starts focused radiation, and chemotherapy. The doctors say even with the said treatment, they only give her 1-2 years to live because of the cancer. Thank you for praying for her, and her family that they may have strength, and for joyful reunions before she is called to the Lord.

First, I'd like to thank you for your prayers for my friend, Amanda, who had an aunt with a tumor that she took care of, served, and loved in California. She stayed out there until after her aunt's funeral, about two and a half months total. Amanda was blessed with her two adult children supporting the family also, by staying in California with her, and was blessed by her aunt's appreciation.
Second, please pray for my youngest sister (51 years old), Katy, who has two separate walnut-sized tumors on her left frontal lobe of her brain in locations known for brain cancer. Whether the surgery will just be a biopsy or a resection/removal of the tumors likely will be determined in surgery. Pray for the schedules of all the doctors involved to be available soon. She goes home until surgery is scheduled. And pray for those of us at a distance from her home in Maine, to know how to support her. She is a strong Christian, thankfully, and her life is a witness to God.

PTL! The two polyps from the colonoscopy are benign. My doctor wants me to do another colonoscopy in five years.
New exciting update on my job search: I was contacted by a previous co-worker from Moody who is now the Associate Provost at Corban University (Salem, OR), a higher ed Christian university. He wanted to see if I were interested in doing contract work for him, revising some online courses. He also mentioned that they are considering a full-time Instructional Designer (ID) "in the near future." Being really excited about this prospect, we have been chatting about the possibilities of hiring me as that ID. Two hurdles though: 1) Corban's financial budget and 2) the ID role hasn't yet been drafted. I took the liberty to send my list of roles that this ID should do, based on my Moody ID role and other ID roles from places I have applied for employment. So please pray for something to happen because it would be wonderful if I could put my skills and capabilities back into creating online accredited courses for a higher ed Christian university.

Their son, Erik, grandson Benji and Sue were able to attend Sue’s mom’s 90th birthday celebration on Saturday. Please pray for safe travels back to IL. Erik and Benji will return on Monday and Sue and Larry whenever Larry’s released from the hospital.

Please pray for God's shalom to come to C-U as we face unprecedented violence and killing with guns. Help us hear what posture or action God would have us take in response

My friend Roberta's new dialysis catheter site has reinfected, so they will remove it tomorrow. She will have to go 5.5 days without dialysis before a new one will be implanted Tuesday on the other side of her chest, followed by dialysis. Based on past experience, she will start to have breathing problems on Saturday from fluid retention. Therefore, she will be drinking approximately nothing for those 5.5 days. Please pray. Thank you.

I want to ask for prayer for those individuals who are struggling with mental/emotionally health concerns. I pray that they would be able to seek out the support and counsel needed. That they would experience God's presence and inner healing.
