Fellowship & Outreach Events Info Session

We want to invite you to come out for an info session Sunday, May 23rd @ 2PM in the Fellowship Hall, to learn how you might help put on or participate in fellowship events or outreach events over the summer! If you would be interested in helping to plan or facilitate or simply be a part of something like this, come on out to our info session, which Pastor Bryan will be leading. Families are welcome.  We look forward to strengthening our community and reaching our neighbors for the glory of God!

Volunteers Wanted!

Children’s and Youth Ministry are looking for volunteers! Join the fun with children’s ministry on Sunday mornings where you will have the opportunity to share about who God is and His love for people. Or if you want to encourage and disciple older students, youth ministry would be a great fit! Contact Karl Knox or Brenda Stevens if you would like to learn more!

PEOPLE: Sing praises to God, sing praises; sing praises to our King, sing praises.

LEADER:For God is the King of all the earth; sing to him a psalm of praise.

PEOPLE: God reigns over the nations. God is seated on his holy throne.

Message

1Children, obey your parents in the Lord, for this is right. 2“Honor your father and mother” (this is the first commandment with a promise), 3“that it may go well with you and that you may live long in the land.” 4Fathers, do not provoke your children to anger, but bring them up in the discipline and instruction of the Lord.

Song of Worship: Good Good Father

Verse 1

I’ve heard a thousand stories
Of what they think You’re like
But I’ve heard the tender whisper
Of love in the dead of night
You tell me that You’re pleased
And that I’m never alone

Chorus

You’re a Good Good Father
It’s who You are
It’s who You are
It’s who You are
And I’m loved by You
It’s who I am
It’s who I am
It’s who I am

Verse 2

I’ve seen many searching for answers
Far and wide
But I know we’re all searching for answers
Only You provide
Because You know just what we need
Before we say a word

Bridge

You are perfect in all of Your ways
You are perfect in all of Your ways
You are perfect in all of Your ways to us

Verse 3

Love so undeniable I can hardly speak
Peace so unexplainable I can hardly think
As You call me deeper still
As You call me deeper still
As You call me deeper still
Into love love love

Song of Worship: What a Beautiful Name

Verse 1

You were the Word at the beginning
One with God the Lord Most High
Your hidden glory in creation
Now revealed in You our Christ

Chorus 1

What a beautiful Name it is
What a beautiful Name it is
The Name of Jesus Christ my King
What a beautiful Name it is
Nothing compares to this
What a beautiful Name it is
The Name of Jesus

Verse 2

You didn’t want heaven without us
So Jesus You brought heaven down
My sin was great Your love was greater
What could separate us now

Chorus 2

What a wonderful Name it is
What a wonderful Name it is
The Name of Jesus Christ my King
What a wonderful Name it is
Nothing compares to this
What a wonderful Name it is
The Name of Jesus
What a wonderful Name it is
The Name of Jesus

Bridge

Death could not hold You
The veil tore before You
You silence the boast of sin and grave
The heavens are roaring
The praise of Your glory
For You are raised to life again

Bridge

You have no rival
You have no equal
Now and forever God You reign
Yours is the kingdom
Yours is the glory
Yours is the Name above all names

What a powerful Name it is
The Name of Jesus Christ my King
What a powerful Name it is
Nothing can stand against
What a powerful Name it is
The Name of Jesus

The Name of Jesus
What a powerful Name it is
The Name of Jesus

After the conclusion of our service, stick around for a few minutes and say hello as we go arond the Zoom room and spotlight different folks for a few seconds. It’s a fun tradition that developed as we’ve been worshipping together on Zoom. If you’d like a chance to be spotlighted, keep your video on!
