Call to Worship: Psalm 145

Based Psalm 145:10-21

All your works shall give thanks to you, O Lord, and all your faithful shall bless you.

They shall speak of the glory of your kingdom, and tell of your power, to make known to all people your mighty deeds, and the glorious splendor of your kingdom.

Your kingdom is an everlasting kingdom, and your dominion endures throughout all generations.

The Lord is faithful in all his words, and gracious in all his deeds.

The Lord upholds all who are falling, and raises up all who are bowed down.

You open your hand, satisfying the desire of every living thing.

The Lord is just in all his ways, and kind in all his doings.

The Lord is near to all who call on him, to all who call on him in truth.

He fulfills the desires of those who fear him; he hears their cry and saves them.

The Lord watches over all who love him, but all the wicked he will destroy.

My mouth will speak in praise of the Lord. Let every creature praise his holy name for ever and ever.

Song of Worship: Praise to the Lord, the Almighty

Verse 1

Praise to the Lord the Almighty
The King of creation
O my soul praise Him
For He is thy health and salvation
All ye who hear now to His temple draw near
Praise Him in glad adoration

Verse 2

Praise to the Lord Who over all things
So wondrously reigneth
Shelters thee under His wings
Yea so gently sustaineth
Hast thou not seen how all your longings have been
Granted in what He ordaineth

Verse 3

Praise to the Lord Who doth prosper
Thy work and defend thee
Surely His goodness and mercy here daily attend thee
Ponder anew what the Almighty can do
If with His love He befriend thee

Verse 4

Praise to the Lord
O let all that is in me adore Him
All that hath life and breath
Come now with praises before Him
Let the amen sound from His people again
Gladly forever adore Him

Song of Worship: These Things Are True of You

Verse 1

Unshakable immovable
Faithful and true
Full of wisdom
Strength and beauty
These things are true of You
Fearless courageous
Righteousness shines through
In all You do
Yet You’re so humble
You laid down Your life
These things are true of You

And as I turn my face to You
Oh Lord I ask and pray
By the power of Your love and grace
Make these things true of me too
Make these things true of me too

Verse 2

Patient compassionate
Love flows through You
You never give up
On the hopeless ones
These things are true of You
Holy and blameless
You stand up for justice and truth
Yet You love mercy and forgiveness
These things are true of You

Song of Worship: Let Us Be Known By Our Love

Verse 1

Let us be known by our love
In every word in every deed honor the Son
Let our light shine in every eye
Let us be known by our love

For the glory of the Father
For the glory of the Son
For the glory of the Spirit
Let us be known by our love (joy) (peace)

Verse 2

Let us be known by our joy
In every home in every heart sing to the Lord
Let our life show goodness and hope
Let us be known by our joy

Verse 3

Let us be known by our peace
In every town in every tribe Jesus is king
Let us go forth heal and restore
Let us be known by our peace

Praise God, from whom all blessings flow;
Praise Him, all creatures here below;
Praise Him above, ye heav’nly host;
Praise Father, Son, and Holy Ghost.

Words: Paraphrased, William Kethe, c. 1594; Thomas Ken, 1637-1711.

Music: Old Hundreth (LM) Genevan Psalter, 1551 edition; attr. Louis Bourgeois, 1510-1561.

After the conclusion of our service, stick around for a few minutes and say hello as we go arond the Zoom room and spotlight different folks for a few seconds. It’s a fun tradition that developed as we’ve been worshipping together on Zoom. If you’d like a chance to be spotlighted, keep your video on!
