Women's Ministry

TCBC's Women's Ministry is designed for women age 18 on up. Our vision is to bring women together to be encouraged, edified, and equipped to live Christ-centered lives and serve Christ in their families, church, campus and community. There are several on-going events that take place throughout the school year and two annual events - a retreat and a Christmas program - that serve as great opportunities to invite friends.

Ongoing Events:

Women's Bible Studies.

During the spring and fall semesters we offer Women's Bible studies at several times throughout the week to accommodate different schedules. Winter/Spring 2012 Women's Bible Studies begin in late January. We have chosen an 8 week study titled, James: Mercy Triumphs by Beth Moore. The study consists of personal study and video teaching sessions. Discussion groups will meet Tuesdays 9:30-11:30 a.m. (pre-register for childcare) & Wednesdays 6:30 – 8:30 p.m. (no child care) in the Discipleland area. You may preview the study at Lifeway.com. Contact Shelly Stearns or Lori VanWingerden if you have questions. You may sign up for a book/group at the Welcome Center or email office@tcbc.cc.

International Women’s Connection.

The IWC is an informal gathering of American and international women from around the world. Meetings take place on Wednesday mornings from 9-11 a.m. during the school year in the TCBC Fellowship Hall. IWC was established in 1987 as a place where international women could form friendships and share and learn from one another. Any woman is welcome to attend!

Annual Events:

We’d love for you to join us for any of our annual women's ministry events as well. We start each year with a Women's Retreat and end the year with a Women's Christmas Evening.

TCBC Women’s Retreats

Coming March 9-10, 2012 is the annual TCBC Women’s Retreat at Camp Warren, Decatur. Be sure to save these dates for an overnighter of fun, fellowship, and inspiration. No cooking, no dishes, no interruptions but a time for women to gather in true Christian fellowship and be spiritually refreshed. If you would like to help plan this event, please use the email contact form below.

A Women’s Christmas Evening - Saturday, December 10, 2011

This is our opportunity to pause and consider “The Wonder of Christmas” and share this good news with our friends, relatives and co-workers. Katie Hubbard, TCBC member, wife, mother of four and Navigator staff member, will be our speaker this year. Beautiful Christmas music will be led by Heidi Hanson and the Praise Team. Now is the time to begin planting seeds and making initial contacts with the women you would like to invite this year. The beautifully decorated Fellowship Hall and Discipleland classrooms will provide a non-threatening environment for your friends to meet other Christians while enjoying a delicious dessert buffet. Then we will reconvene in the sanctuary for a program. Ticket sales begin Sunday, Nov. 13, for this very popular event. Tickets will be $3 each. You can also participate by signing up to bring a delicious dessert or serve as a table hostess. Table hostesses provide the decorations and table settings for their table and receive a complimentary ticket.Help is still welcome to prepare for this beautiful evening. It’s a lot of fun and you get to work with some great TCBC women.
