Social Action

In a world full of brokenness, we trust the King of kings to bring His justice and righteousness to restore all of His creation. Amazingly, He is already acting to restore lives to Himself and He allows the body of Christ to participate in His kingdom work! At TCBC, the Social Action ministry seeks to proclaim God's grace by acting on Jesus' message of redemption. We strive to work toward justice in our community while offering service and mercy to those in need. As we reach out to our community and partner with organizations that feed the hungry, clothe the unclothed, care for the sick, shelter the homeless, love the unloved, and place families around the lonely, our goal is to "let our light shine before others, so that they may see our good works and give glory to our Father who is in heaven" (Matthew 5:16).

Other Social Action Initiatives:

Rafiki Village Partnership
www.rafiki-foundation.org

In 2007, TCBC formed a partnership with a Rafiki Village in Malawi, Africa. This partnership was one way for TCBC to join the fight against the AIDS pandemic. Rafiki Villages were established throughout Africa by the Rafiki Foundation, Inc. to "help Africans know God by caring for and educating orphans, providing materials and training in education and Bible study, and giving economic opportunities to widows." TCBC has been able to help Rafiki expand its village in Malawi. We have also sent teams of short-term missionaries to Malawi to help the village in its work.
