Adult Christian Formation Classes

Which Adult Formation Class are you going to attend this semester? Classes resumed at 9 AM on Sunday, January 8th. More classes will begin meeting when the two service schedule resumes. Check out the schedule below and choose the class which will help you grow in your relationship with God and the TCBC community.

9:00 AM
Koinonia Konnection - New class members welcomed. This on-going class is designed so newcomers and the ‘not-so-new’ can easily connect within the TCBC family in an enduring caring community – encouraging one another’s faith through fellowship, prayer, teaching, and worship. Class facilitated by Karl and Sally Reinhard.

Bold Transitions - How do you make big life decisions with confidence? This class is for juniors, seniors, and graduate students who have major decisions on their horizon. Come join a community of Jesus followers on a journey to answer this question this spring. Class facilitated by Jeff Yockey and others.

Training in Missions – starts Feb. 19th at 9 AM
Note
:This class is required for anyone asking for prayer or financial support from TCBC for a summer/fall missions trip. The class dives deep into the truths of what it means to be a servant of the Living God who is ruling in the midst of his enemies, and sending us to be his ambassadors. The class is led each week by one of our TCBC missionaries, sharing their first hand accounts and  exploring the nature of the battle we are in, what the Lord of Hosts is doing, and what it looks like to abide in him and bear much fruit. Our prayer is that together by the power of his Word and Spirit,  God will purify and strengthen our faith and deepen our understanding of and readiness for the work he has for each of us on the missions field.

The Gospel in Life -
This study is based on the book by Tim Keller. The 2nd Site team and several TCBC small groups have been doing this study and find it to be incredibly challenging. Find out what all the ‘buzz’ is about. Even if you’ve done this study, feel free to repeat it with us. It is packed with so much thought provoking discussion and life changing application that you will still find it engaging. This class will compliment the spring sermon series which will explore why the Gospel is such good news. Class facilitated by Paul McNamara. Study books will be available in class for $5.

Panorama of the New Testament with Ken Cuffey - This class is a perfect compliment for participating in the “Read through the New Testament” challenge this semester. Your understanding and appreciation of the New Testament will be enriched as Ken Cuffey provides background information, helps you find the overarching themes of the New Testament and puts the scriptures in context with each other. Ken is a Professor of Biblical Studies and President of Urbana Theological Seminary.

Mission Sunday – Feb 12, 10:45 AM (one week only)
You're invited to come hear how the gospel is good news for people of all nations. We will hear news of how God is at work bringing his kingdom to countries across the globe. Both worship services and the 10:45 am CE hour will have an international focus and several TCBC missionaries will be present to share their first hand accounts of God's work around the world.
