What to Expect: TCBC Midtown is contemporary and relaxed. You can wear whatever is comfortable. We will sing songs of various styles as a way of worshipping God. During that time, you’re welcome to join in whatever way helps you worship God. Often, we will hear from one or more people who will share what God has been doing in their lives. The sermon will offer Biblical teaching to challenge and encourage you to grow in your relationship with God. We will also have time to discuss questions and pray together in small groups.
Arriving: The best way to enter TCBC Midtown by going to the west side of Green Street Center; the door is facing the railroad tracks. Stop by the Welcome Center when you arrive for additional information on TCBC Midtown.
Children: Kids activities take place in the children’s area. Activities are for infants through grade schoolers. All of our children’s volunteers have gone through a rigorous screening process and have passed background checks. Kids older than 3rd grade should plan to be with their parents for the morning.
History: Since its beginning in 1933, Twin City Bible Church’s vision has been to connect the University of Illinois campus with the Champaign-Urbana community to make a difference for God’s kingdom. TCBC brings together people of all ages, nationalities, occupations and backgrounds in order to equip and send them to spread God’s love around the world. At TCBC, we want to live out the transforming message of Jesus in our daily lives by demonstrating his love to the university campus and by working for the renewal and restoration of our city. In order to expand this vision, TCBC Midtown was recently established as a second TCBC location in the diverse area that links campus with downtown Champaign.
